8: Home is the smell of sea spray on my face as the tide rolls in.

It is the smell of smoked meat as the flames and ash rise in the air.
It is smell of coconut oil on golden brown skin.

Home is the smell of oil and fish wafting through the kitchen as I walk through the doors.
It is the smell of vacuumed carpets and lemon pledge on wood.
It is the smell of sweat on the gym clothes I wash.

Home is the smell of air freshener in long car rides.
It is the smell of Old Spice deodorant enveloped in warm hugs.
It is the smell of diaper cream when I kiss a baby belly goodnight.

Home is the immediate warmth any time I am reminded of these scents.
